1949 » Juan Vilallonga Casases founded the company under the registered name “VILALLONGA”, at Enrique Granados Street, nr. 104, in Barcelona city, starting in the sale of automobile accessories and spares.

1956 » The company opened a second premise, located in Puigmartí Street, nr. 8, for the manufacture of precision rubber parts, specializing in the production of oil seals, O-rings and gaskets

1959 » The factory moved from Puigmartí Street to Mare de Déu dels Desemparats Street, nr. 3, to include a wider range of products, to satisfy the demand for special rubber parts of all kinds and quality: Absorbers, silentblocks, bellows, fittings, vacuum cups, etc.

1965 » Joaquín Vilallonga Renom, the founder’s son started working in the company, specializing in laboratory tests and rubber mixtures. -20 years later he would take over the running of the company, together with the Technical and Commercial management department.

1972 » The increase for the demand of special parts according to specifications brought about the improvement of the production and the closure of the shop at Enric Granados Street by doing retail sales. The range of products extended to all industrial sectors: Like the automobile industry, domestic appliances, railway, aeronautics, hydraulics, pneumatics, the food industry, mining, sport, etc.

1985 » Joaquín Vilallonga Renom, the company founder’s son, succeeded as the company Manager

1991 » For technical requirements and to provide a better customer service, the company moved to Compositor Bach Street, nr. 4 in the Industrial estate at Can Jardí in RUBI (Barcelona).

1993 » CAVUL, S.L., a rubber parts manufacturing company, was taken over in April therefore enlarging production plant along with machinery. From 500m² to 1000m².

1998 » On December 1st, the company obtained the ISO 9.002/94 certification, through the LGAI entity –accredited by ENAC-, in recognition of the standardization and efficiency of the quality system implemented in the company.

2001 » The company grew again from 1000m² to 1500m².

2002 » On 27/03/02 the ISO 9.002/1.994 certification was updated to ISO 9.001/2.000, through the LGAI entity –accredited by ENAC-, in recognition of the positive evolution of the quality system implemented in the company. On 11/11/02 the company acquires a visual control machine with laser technology to improve and assure final control of the product.

2010 » On 28/05/10 the 9.001/2.000 certification was updated to ISO 9001:2008, through the LGAI Applus entity –accredited by ENAC. Joaquin Vilallonga handed over Management of the company to his son and daughter Carlos Vilallonga Alsina and Nuria Vilallonga Alsina. The final control department is improved with the purchase of a new vision machine for both faces, with laser and peripheral screening.

2012 » In July 2.012 the company obtained the certification according to the ISO/TS 16949 (automobile sector) and ISO 14001 (environment preservation) norms for the entity TÜV Rheinland.

2014 » We acquire a new dimensional inspection machine so as to improve the pieces measurements in all their levels: length, angles and radius. An IRHD durometer is bought to test produced parts hardness.

2015 » The company buys a new industrial unit of 1.500 m² at Compositor Verdi street no.80, which is adjacent to the original building at Compositor Bach Street, 4. Due to this new acquisition PRODUCTOS J.V., S.L. premises are expanded from 1.600 m² to 3.100 m². The lay-out of the company is reorganized.

2017 » We consolidate the production of a new range of bigger dimension products (membranes, bellows). Our usual products are smaller (silentblocks, seals, gaskets, grommets). Now we deal with more applications inside the automotive sector. We adapt our quality system,as we transfer ISO rule TS16949 to IATF 16949:2016.
